I believe lifestyle and happiness is the key. I was miserable and fat. I moved to Spain. I was happy. I lost 6 stones in 18 months not a single calorie counted. Regrettably had to return back to England and all 6 stones returned as well.

Why 6 Billion People Deserve to Die in Armageddon
by Leolaia injehovah is such a righteous, merciful, loving god -- slow to anger, overflowing with loving kindness and blessing.
yet it somehow bothers many of you that he will shortly execute his judgment on mankind and wipe out 99.9% of the world's population, as if that somehow is supposed to conflict with his loving qualities.
personally, i have no idea why many of you feel this way.

Annual Visit
by Quendi inthis is a question for those who have either been disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves.
i was disfellowshipped in september 2005 and have no intention of returning.
what i want to ask the rest of you is, did you ever get that yearly visit from the elders to see if you wanted to return to the organization or just how you were doing?

I hadn't been well for quite a while and even tho I hadn't been to a meeting for a whole year, when I discovered I had "missed" the memorial back in 2010 I was disappointed and stated as much on my FB status by mentioning I hadn't received an invitation with the date and time so that I could attend.
I received a "comment" by someone from the new cong saying "You knew where the KH was, didn't you?" At the time I was hurt not to be informed of when the memoral was but even more hurt by the comment from some-one I considered to be a friend as well as sister. I was disgusted and thought they must be expecting the "lost sheep" to make their own way back now!
I have heard nothing since, not from anyone in my old cong or anyone from the new cong although they have my contact details. Maybe I have already been disfellowshipped and just don't know.

i worked as a 'paper boy', delivering newspapers to people living nearby.

A Beloved and Compassionate Elder Trapped in a Cult Just Died , What should I do?
by TastingFreedom ini just heard the sad news that a very loving and kind elder for the congregation that i belonged to for 15 years just died from a heart attack.
he was someone that i had great admiration and deep respect for, even now that i'm out from the jws.
he was my mentor and an inspiration to me as an elder, and in many ways he showed me the contradictions of the wts, he was a breath of fresh air within a cult.

Blood Ban and Your Pets
by compound complex inhow irrational the society could be was experienced by the sister-in-law of ex-bethelite william (bill) cetnar when .... at the suggestion of her veterinarian, she had a blood transfusion given to her poodle to prolong its life.
she couldn't believe bill [cetnar]when he told her that the society would say she had violated god's law.
at his urging she wrote the society on the matter and the response she received informed her that she had done wrong.

When I was a veterinary nurse one of the not so nice aspects of the job was putting animals to sleep. Sometimes to stop suffering but other times just because the owner no longer wanted their pet. We also used to collect and sell blood from greyhounds to other practices. I was told by an elder I should not participate in blood collection and I would have to "answer to God" for every life I assisted in destroying.

BBC INTERVIEW EMAILS ONLY FROM SW ENGLAND PLEASE
by cantleave ini have just recieved a call from emma, she has been in-undated with emails and has pointed out that as she simply a presenter for bbc radio somerset, a local station, please only email her only if you live in south west england.. her editor has seen the magnitude of the response and realises that this could a big story and looking at escalating to a national level, so the point has been made.. also she wanted to point out that she is only the presenter and the interview and research was undertaken by tammy macallister and she deserves the credit.. it's great to see the exjw community spring into action, but please respect emma's in box!.
